Why do only some forums cause site to go offline?

Currently reading and posting on a couple of threads on Primary Education but now it keeps telling me the site is offline. However, I can get onto AIBU and the rest... I know the sites a bit glitchy at the mo but was just wondering why only some forums were affected?

The drop-outs seem to be only lasting for a second or two max so I reckon that the site is recovering by the time you've navigated to another board rather than the individual boards being somehow different.

Just my thought and I'll stand to be corrected on that.

I don't think it's any specific Topic - I think it's been happening all over MN.

This answer on another, similar, thread on Site Stuff might help :

Sorry about this, everyone. Tech have identified what they think is the problem and they're working on a fix. We'll try to have it back to normal ASAP

Yes, we're really sorry - the site's been a bit bouncy for a couple of days. Tech think they've identified the problem and are working on a fix.
