has something changed with the number of posts per page?

I have mine set at 25 messages per page but on a few threads today I have noticed that isn't the case. example a thread with 270 messages, 12 pages long and message 270 was the first post on page 12. and other one- 26 messages but messages 25 and 26 were on page 2 when normally it would just be message 26 on page 2. anyone else noticed this?

Not sure, but I saw a thread earlier that had 1003 posts. I thought they stopped at 1000!
