Is there any way of finding out what aliases you've used in the past? When you change your name the old name remains 'assigned' to you, doesn't it?

I think this is what CFrau said...

Sometimes, if you go to the bit where you change your name, click in the box to change it, delete the name and hover your mouse over the box, it brings up a list. However this depends how your PC is ste up and whether you've deleted them. It also shows all the ones you've typed in but been unable to use though.

PrettyCandles · 23/06/2006 20:27

Thanks for the translation .

that only works if you've never cleared your cookies though or changed your pc

PrettyCandles · 23/06/2006 20:31

Nope, doesn't work.

I know that dh is very security conscious and has set up the pc to block quite a lot of stuff, so that's probaly why this cookie is n't working.

you could email mn hq and ask them

AtterySquash · 23/06/2006 20:41

Can you go back to an old name?

PrettyCandles · 23/06/2006 20:43

Yes, you can. That's why people can change their names for 'anonymity' to post on a thread and then revert back to their regular name.

But I'm not a good liar, and I can't remember all the names I've called myself over the years!

Tech · 27/06/2006 01:04

As tech is in a charitable frame of mind, tech has added a link to the "your registration" page so that persons can see their own nickname history. Cick "history" by you current nickname and you should see all the changes you've made and when you made them.

Tech is also trying out referring to oneself in the third person, but finding it somewhat aggravating so will stop.

Anyway, let me know if you see any problems.

Regards,
Tech

VVVQV · 27/06/2006 01:20

ahem....how do you scroll down the page....?

I dont appear to be able to on the pop up that appears...

Tech · 27/06/2006 01:27

I've added a scrollbar. You can also drag the bottom right of the popup window to make it bigger.

Regards, Tech

Beetroot · 27/06/2006 05:13

blimey, i had forgotten some of those changes...

SoupDragon · 27/06/2006 10:21

would it be possible to have it as a list of names we've had rather than what we changed from and to?

FlameBoo · 27/06/2006 10:38

LadyTambaOfTambaTown · 27/06/2006 10:42

zippitippitoes · 27/06/2006 10:49

NomDePlume · 27/06/2006 10:50

OMG ! I've had 63 different names (not changes, just names!). Blimey !

MrsBadger · 27/06/2006 10:59

had completely forgotten I bagged some really cool names just in case I ever needed to namechange - very handy feature Tech!

SaintGeorge · 27/06/2006 11:46

Oh that is one scary list I have just looked at.

I thought I had kept a note of them all but apparently I forgot quite a few.

Tech · 27/06/2006 12:53

Oh dragon of soup, your wish is my command. I've changed it so that when you first click the popup you get a list of all the names you've had. If you want want to see details of when you changed etc, then click the "show change details" link at the bottom of the pop-up window.

Regards,
Tech
