Mumsnet site is going all weird on me. Any techy people out there??

I have a problem with the mumsnet site on my laptop. Whenever I click on anything I get a new tab open up with a stupid spam thingy.
Also, I am getting a load of ads that say "ads not from this site" underneath. Some appear randomly in middle of posts etc....

These keep refreshing, so if I am clicking on the "go back a page" arrow I sometimes need to go back about 6 pages before I get back as these seem to update the page without me doing anything.

I have AVG, but it has not picked up anything. I have deleted all my cookies, but it is still doing it. It is only on Mumsnet.......no other website. Any ideas what I can do?

Sorry, wasn't on last night. I use Google Chrome. should I try it with another and see if the same happens?

I am now on Internet Explorer......and it all seems fine over here.......it's a problem with Google Chrome, then isn't it???? I suppose I will have to uninstall it then reinstall it.......sorry, not your fault at all.......weird though. Google Chrome must have it in for mumsnet - must be male!
