Android App Stickies

...soooo when I open up the Active threads on my android app, I have to scroll down through roughly 95 'stickies' before I actually see the active conversations. Is this right? It's blinking annoying if it is - could they be reduced to maybe just the most recent? some on there date from early July I think!

Yes I get this too. I've stopped using the app as it annoys me so much! Probably should have mentioned it before... Well done MorningSmile

RobotHamster · 05/09/2013 12:32

Stickies are irritating.I just hide them on mine.

TallulahBetty · 05/09/2013 12:36

How do you hide them on the app?

RobotHamster · 05/09/2013 12:38

Sorry,I don't. I go to the mobile site and hide them there

alemci · 05/09/2013 12:40

also is there a way of making the text bigger on the app. I don't think it is doing my eyesight any good. other apps you can pull the text to enlarge

Mabelface · 05/09/2013 12:41

To get rid of stickies, log out and log back in again.

TallulahBetty · 05/09/2013 12:43

Thanks Madlizzy, tried that and they're still there Angry oh well.

Tech · 05/09/2013 13:09

Hi TB, if you do "delete app data" on your android device it'll clear the list of stickies. Unfortunately there's a bug in the android app such that it treats stickies as super sticky never go away.

TallulahBetty · 05/09/2013 13:15

Thanks Tech, tried that and they're still there. Never mind, thanks anyway Smile

Tech · 05/09/2013 16:23

That's weird. Just to make sure we're talking about the same thing, I mean go to settings then "Application Manager". Click "Mumsnet Talk" then click "Clear data." Once that's done and you go back to the app the stickies should be gone. Is that what you did?

TallulahBetty · 05/09/2013 16:41

Hi Tech yes that's what I did. It clears everything (log in details etc) but the stickies are still there when I log in.

MorningHasBroken · 05/09/2013 17:18

I logged out then in again and it worked, once I'd worked out my password will just have to do that or clear data periodically I guess.

thanks Madizzy and Tech. Hope you get yours sorted out too Tallulah.

I was just about to post the same thing.

NotAQueef · 05/09/2013 23:05

logging out and then back in worked but how annoying?!

kiriwawa · 07/09/2013 09:17

Aha - I've been meaning to post about this for ages. That worked for me (clearing the data) - thanks :)
