MN 'stickies' on Android app

smugmumofboys · 17/06/2013 22:26

Does anyone know how to remove them? When I MN on my phone there must be at least twenty-odd 'stickies' to scroll through. I wouldn't mind but some haven't received a new post since 19/05.

They are obviously regularly culled on the main site. Is there a way of removing them on the app?

Spooky, I had just thought the same as I scrolled through them all. No idea but hoping someone will be able to help Smile

CointreauVersial · 17/06/2013 22:30

I noticed that! I am scrolling through a massive list of obsolete stuff just to get to the first regular active thread.

Unstick 'em please Techs!

HollyGoHeavily · 17/06/2013 22:33

Yep me too - it's getting so annoying that i'm starting to not use the phone app anymore....

smugmumofboys · 17/06/2013 22:34

Oooh, replies! Glad it's not just me.

You need to uninstall the app then install again. There was a thread about it recently. Unfortunately they soon come back though. I've given up and gone back to using mobile page.

Whojamaflip · 17/06/2013 22:36

or try logging out and then logging in again - worked for me Smile

piratecat · 17/06/2013 22:37

hate the mobile app. you can't even use threads i'm watching on it. it's all over the place.

smugmumofboys · 17/06/2013 22:37

Thanks for those suggestions. I may try contacting MNHQ to see if they can unstick them.

Right, thanks Whoja. Logging out and then back in has just worked.

Sorted. Smile

forcookssake · 17/06/2013 23:05

Thanks for starting thread OP, I'd been wondering about this exact thing!

nethunsreject · 21/06/2013 15:10

Gah, the same problem is driving me nuts.

MNHQ - is there any alternative to uninstalling and reinstalling yet?

HelenMumsnet · 21/06/2013 15:18

We're afraid not. We're so sorry.

We are doing all we can to sort out the Android app (and the other apps) in all their glitchy horror. But it's one of those things that's mightily complicated and is taking a frustratingly long while.

CointreauVersial · 21/06/2013 17:40

You don't have to uninstall/re-install, just log out, then in again.

ALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 24/06/2013 22:08

or clear your data Smile

AndWhenYouGetThere · 26/06/2013 21:39

Please please fix this - they're coming back quicker and in number now... like the zombie apocalypse.

AndWhenYouGetThere · 20/07/2013 18:24

they've filled up my entire active convos list Angry

Breezy1985 · 20/07/2013 19:05

I clear the data often, they come back pretty quick though.
