eating disorder topic?

hi there might be one already and I can't find it. but could there be one for eating disorders? we have mental health but that's too wide really
. I would really like a topic for this as it would be good to get support and advice from others going through the same thing

I'd be interested. I'm on the compulsive eating, binge eating end of the spectrum but attending the same ed group as anorexics and bulimics. The roots and methods of dealing with ed seem to be similar across the groups. I've only recently been able to talk about eating issues I'd find a topic really interesting. Not sure if I ought to name change though!

Oh just thought too it would be important to be recovery focused wouldn't it -otherwise it could be destructive?

I belonged to another site who had an eating disorders topic. It ended up like a top-tips on how to hide what your disorder and what you were doing, which I'm guessing is not the kind of support you're after.

I'd keep it within MH. There's a lot of support threads on there and its where people currently go to ask. I'd not support having a separate topic though for the reasons stated above.

That's sort of what I was wondering about. Discussion about food and eating is actually banned at our recovery group for similar reasons.

Maybe a thread within mh?
