Allowing polls

Sorry if this has been asked before, but...

Have you considered allowing a poster to post a poll? For example, on AIBU it would be nice to see a summary of answers, maybe on a five-point scale: "very unreasonable", "slightly unreasonable", "neutral", etc

This would obviate visitors from having to read thru several pages of posts to get a sense of what people feel.

OP posts:

Terrible idea.

Reading what people say is the interesting part though. And posters can sometimes be swayed by the strength of other posters arguments.

Or it just makes a bun fight which is also interesting.

We talk to each other. That's what a discussion board is about.

This is also why we don't want a Like button on individual posts or the ability to quote.

Use your words...

The whole point of a chat forum,is to chat.

People talk about things. Threads develop and move on (even in AIBU). Shortcuts should stay on Farcebook.

In Zombie's very humble opinion.

Nope. I don't like that idea CJ Hmm

"Only connect".
