Knowing who posted last on a thread

Kayleigh · 28/01/2004 13:45

Not sure if anyone will agree but I would find it helpful if i could see who the last person was to post on a thread.
I sometimes post then don't read the thread for a while. I will then go back to the thread to find I was the last poster. If my name came up, say, after the "Latest message: 28 Jan 04, 1:37:44 PM" banner then i wouldn't bother going into the thread. I never take any notice of what time I'm posting so the time indicator is not much help. When the site is slow this would save me quite a bit of time.

Erm, I might be being dim, but haven't we already got it ?

My list shows

Nickname, Date & Time, First Sentence of post

Perhaps it's because I don't use the Active conversations, just ask for updates since I last looked IYSWIM

AussieSim · 28/01/2004 17:41

Twink - it shows all that stuff on 'last day' but not on Active Conversations.
Good idea Kayleigh

Twink · 28/01/2004 18:04

Ta ! Yes I can see it would be irritating to not have it, I know I'd waste time checking things without it.

Furball · 28/01/2004 21:46

I always use 'search for new messages' and within that 'messages since I last checked for new messages' It seems to be alot less hickledy pickledy then active conversations and you know what comes up you haven't seen. - It also lists the author of the posts.

Kayleigh · 29/01/2004 07:56

I do occasionally use 'messages since I last checked for new messages' but i tend to use active conversations more especilly when i am at work and am dipping in and out all day.
