Not just camping, but education and travel all broken down into new categories...anyhting else new?

My only (tiny) problem with it is that having 2 topics called Special Nwwds on the home page might be confusing. Could the education one be re-named Special Needs Education or something similar?

coppertop · 15/05/2006 13:04

Weird! 1st time I posted that it came up with a whole load of code about NESTED EXCEPTIONs -whatever they are!

spacedonkey · 15/05/2006 13:04

wow loads of stuff!

Current Affairs too

coppertop · 15/05/2006 13:05

Damn! NEEDS not Nwwds...

MeAndMyBoy · 15/05/2006 13:09

Cool like the new boards :)

Mercy · 15/05/2006 13:10

Environment is new too!

SaintGeorge · 15/05/2006 13:18

coppertop - I agree that is confusing. I have emailed MNHQ to point it out.

Posey · 15/05/2006 13:23

Are all these sections really necessary?

rickman · 15/05/2006 13:56

It's going to be like listing an item on ebay now. Going through all the options until you find the right one.

rickman · 15/05/2006 14:06

Also there is Education under Being a Parent and now on a board of its own.

spacedonkey · 15/05/2006 14:07

Agree that "Special Needs" under the Education topic should be changed to "Special Educational Needs" perhaps (or "Special Needs Education")

monkeytrousers · 15/05/2006 14:20

No politics?

JJMumsnet · 15/05/2006 14:21

Hi, we've renamed the special needs topic in education to "Special educational needs". Thanks for the suggestion.

Over the next while, we'll work on organizing the travel and education topics and move them to their proper places soon.

JJMumsnet · 15/05/2006 14:22

Sorry - crossposted. Political discussion we thought could be under 'Current affairs'. :)

suejonez · 15/05/2006 14:25

Adoption - hurrah! Thanks you Justine et al...

No child moggelling?? :o

elliott · 16/05/2006 09:47

I don't like it [bah humbug emoticon]

julienetmum · 16/05/2006 13:38

I came on here specifically to start a topic on this (and found one aready here)

There are too many categories. I can understand some of the sub-divisions but there are far too many in education. I now have to trawl through ed, pre-school, primary etc when I am interested in all aspects (can understand separate home ed)

It is going to take too much time to find things I am interested in. There are many topics that could easily go on more than one board.

It is putting me off surfing mumsnet when I have limited time.
