Am I being thick?

Sorry if I'm being dense.....

Is there some way I can read replies to posts that start with the most recent message at the top?

Each time I post, my message appears at the bottom of up to 20 pages. There must be an easier way to read the newest posts rather than trawling through pages of stuff that has been posted days ago.

If you click on Customise you can set how mumsnet shows posts when you are logged in, such as Flip Thread for every thread.

You can bookmark your place too

Yes, the others are correct.

You can go into Customise and change the reading direction of the thread, if you'd like, so that the most recent message displays at the top rather than the bottom.

You can also use Customise to set your number of Messages per Page display to "unlimited" - which will mean you don't see lots of pages but one long, long thread.
