First unread post

I must be missing something... But how do I go to the first unread post in a thread? I really don't understand!

You might need to clarify your question.

Neither MN or your browser can detect whereabouts you have read down to.

Possibly you mean something else ?

Do you mean you'd like to get taken back to the place in a thread where you last finished reading?

If so, you can go into Customise and give yourself Bookmarks to help you do this.

Cumfy - if you turn on bookmarks (found in the Customise page) you can save a place so the next time you click on the topic it takes you straight to where you "saved".

Yes :) If you go to The Customisation page (you can find the link just underneath where it says "Mumsnet" and in there you can turn on Bookmarks.

Then, during a thread, there is a little "bookmark" button that appears on every comment - you click the post you want to come back to and next time you click on that link it takes you straight into your last place.
