Can I reduce posts just to the the op's updates?

I am currently following a couple of very long posts and pop back every couple of days just to see if there's an update, is there a way of seeing just the op's posts rather than reams of other people's opinion and bunfights?

OP posts:

You can set then to a different colour in customise.

You can indeed. Go into Customise and look for Highlight Options.

you still have to scroll through everything though. Think hillyhilly wanted to know if you could reduce it to just the OP's posts rather than have to see everyone elses posts too

That's true. No you can't reduce like that, we're afraid but then MN is all about discussion, after all!

Advance search the OP's name. Find the relevant thread and you can work your way through just their posts. Click on the first unread post, read it, use your browser back button to return to the list, click on the next post, etc.

Or, even easier, search the thread itself on the page, using Ctrl-F on a PC, Cmd-F on a Mac, or on an iPad in Safari use the Find on Page mode of the Search bar. Put in the OP's user name and you can step through her posts without leaving the page, though you will also get any replies that use the posters full name, but it's easy to skip over them.

You can also highlight your posts.

Both invaluable for thread navigation.

^ what these guys said.

It's also handy to have "Messages per page" set to "unlimited". This way you don't have to flick through endless pages, you get the thread in it's entirety.
