Why can't I log in to MN on my phone?

I can view threads quite happily but if I try and and look at Threads I'm Watching for example it says that I need to log in.

However when I put in my details and click the 'Log In' box it goes back to the page with the all the Active/ I'm On/ I'm watching/Customize etc boxes and the 'you need to log in to see this page' message again

Any ideas why this happening?

I would guess it is a cookie issue. If your phone lets you, try clearing the cache to see if that releases space for the cookies.

What phone, what browser?

Looks like someone is trying to spam MN using phone app so they had to turn it off for a spell to stop them, you're not only one having trouble with phone app. Hopefully cleared up soon.

nannynick -it looks like it was a cookie issue. I hadn't enabled cookies. If I've now ticked the box that "allows sites to save and read cookies" is that an issue privacy/security wise on a phone?

Potentially a privacy issue as it lets websites track you. However it is needed for many things, shopping carts for example. So in my view better to have it than not. Cookies are stored locally on your device and only readable by the website that created the cookie.

Hi Catherine . It seemsto be ok now thanks. I think it was to do with cookies (and me being a bit of a dumbarse TBH )
