.... or due an update? my iphone app keeps saying 'cant connect to mumsnet' even though my wifi/ phone signal is good :/ x

The app on my iphone is fine.

I'm using an iPad and connecting via Safari.

I go to TIO, but when I try to open a thread MN crashes. I think it might be an advert as I can see the thread loading, and the blue in the address bar goes along until just before it fills it, and then everything crashes and I'm back to my desktop.

I have managed to post on one thread - short thread - this morning but all the other TIOs are too long to load or something.

I am going to switch off the iPad now and see whether it just needs that.

I'm having problems on the mobile site in general. I'm using a generic browser on my android phone (about as helpful as I can get).

Keeps getting stuck loading page then goes to a generic 'page could not load check the web address, internet connection etc. Message' not even the nice 'mnhq have buggered off to the pub' message.

If I try to go on the same page 2 seconds later it loads straight away.

A few pages I have loaded this morning have also loaded without their styllesheets doofnah and look horrid.

Hmmm, well it's still crashing anywhere and everywhere for me (see above).

I can get onto this thread, but any longish thread crashes before it's loaded properly. I have reset my iPad (switched it off for a couple of hours!), deleted loads of stuff from it in case it's a space issue - it isn't.

Other forums I go on are working fine, length of threads not an issue (none are NM btw!). Other apps are fine. Haven't tried the MN app though. I'll try reinstalling it (has the advanced search topics problem been fixed?).

Even typing here is slow, there is an appreciable gap between typing a letter and it appearing. Never had that before.

There's another thread in Site Stuff about this. DarrenMN is trying to get to the bottom of it, but is asking folk to let him know which app they are using.

im using the mumsnet iphone app from the apple appstore. was still having issues earlier. it loads the purple bar and the index but then wont let me read/post threads. it does it intermittently x
