Emoticons on the App

I have been politely informed that the weird mustard coloured igloo thing -> is meant to be biscuit.

WTF? I wouldn't be eating any biscuits that look like that. Where is my proper biscuit?

And more to the point, why is there a Green heart? Is that meant to be envy?

What has happened to the emoticons on the App, and when will they be fixed? And in the meantime, can they please come with an explanation?

Do they come out looking like that on the main site, if I post them on my iPhone, or do they look normal?

I can't even tell what half of them are meant to be. I end up doing it the old fashioned way by typing [ confused ] but without the spaces. PITA.

And why when I type £ is it still coming up with some random shore instead of a pound sign?

And why are my italics not working properly on the App?

And why isn't bold working properly on the App either?

May I direct you to a thread on Site Stuff pithily entitled 'Oh buggery bollocks - MNHQ please answer' ?

It has the answer to your questions (ie the app is shite) and MNHQ's response. There should be an update soon. We hope. Otherwise HelenMN is going to need more gin.
