A question about active convos

on the iPhone app.

Do active convos on the app keep continually refreshing 'live' iyswim? Because the same few threads are on it as you scroll down; is that because as you scroll down new threads are bumping the ones you've already seen down as well so you just keep seeing the same ones?

On the old app you could see loads of different threads as you scrolled down, it was great. Now I have to press the refresh button and then at the top of active convos are some new, different threads but they then also just keep duplicating as you scroll down. Sometimes I can see the same thread 3 times on the screen.

Is there a way you can fix it so it doesn't refresh until you ask it to, like on the old app?

I hope this makes sense, it does when I think about it in my head.

Mixed up 'I' and 'you' a bit there. I hope you can tell when 'you' means me and when 'you' means tech/mnhq. Smile

Hi Sunshine,

Yes, you've got it (I think); the app doesn't re-index the first batch of threads you've loaded when it loads the subsequent batches, so you will see some duplicates.

We don't have a fix for this at the moment - I'm afraid it's either a question of ignoring the duplicates, or going out of the Active Convos page and back in so that it refreshes the whole list.

Thank you Rowan. I'm glad you understood my convoluted way of putting it Smile. Is this issue (and the smilies) on the list to be resolved at some point?

I love using my phone to go on mn but it's not as good an experience since the update.
