What is up with the pound key it's driving me mad when people put £50 or whatever and it doesn't show up as that

Is it me?

Yup, I get it on the iPad for lots of different things, I get the dodgy pound, Euro and the capital A with a mark.

I think that the & sign (ampersand) causes problems on the app as well as the £ sign (pound). Very annoying!
