How long is the longest thread?

flow4 · 18/12/2012 20:20

I know there's probably an answer to this somewhere, but is there a maximum thread length? I have seem some over 500 posts, but I don't think I've ever seen any 1000 posts long... Do they spontaneously combust or something? Or are there 'archives' lurking somewhere?!
Thanks anyone who bothers to reply Grin

1,000 is the maximum unless HQ unlocks it to be longer.

AnyaKnowIt · 18/12/2012 20:29

2477

There was one that had the limit removed IRCC but usually 1000. There are plenty that have gone onto 2nd, 3rd, 4th threads etc etc.

TeeElfOnTeeShelf · 18/12/2012 21:02

There's more than one. Sometimes they do it for product test threads but they've also done it for other 'important' threads such as Nickels never ending live labour thread.

Thank you everyone :)
I am starting to worry that the 'SIL and the little robots' thread will reach its limit before we get the Christmas Day update... And I AM enjoying that one! Grin

Someone will just start another thread, flow. I wouldn't panic. Xmas Grin

Sounds interesting...link?

flow4 · 19/12/2012 22:25

My pleasure TeeElf Grin : linky
Be warned: if you've ever wanted to tell your in-laws what you think of them, don't click til you've got a spare hour or so!

It's not so much panic on my part as preparing myself for bereavement... Grin

Xmas Grin heh heh

MaryChristmaZEverybody · 20/12/2012 17:04

I hid that thread on the first day. Is it worth reading?

TeeElfOnTeeShelf · 20/12/2012 17:25

I hid it as well Mary. I didn't think it was worth going back and reading once Flow linked to it.

Sorry Flow.

And good point about Pinot.

::covers Pinot with fireproof blanket then sits on her::

TaggieCrimbleBlack · 20/12/2012 17:30

Niclebabe's never ending labour. About 14 threads. Poor girl was in labour for about a month (but bloody did it!)

flow4 · 20/12/2012 21:25

Depends on what you like, Mary... It's quite a gentle pleasure. :) The OP is not unreasonable, the posters are not unreasonable... The SIL is unreasonable, and the OP continued to be very grown up and reasonable in the face of much provocation... Tho' there is a late-ish twist... It's sort of the MN equivalent of Radio 4, rather than E4, if you know what I mean! Grin
