Does mn have an "addiction" topic

I can't find one which I find unbelievable in this day and age. Please can we have one?

Nicotine, alcohol, drug and other would be good. I'm so surprised there isn't one already... Unless I'm missing it?

Hello. No we don't at the moment; we're sorry you find that unbelievable.

We do, however, have some quite long-running threads within other topics, where MNers offer each other ongoing support with addictions. There is the Brave Babes thread, for example, for those dealing with alcohol problems.

Was there anything specific you were looking for?

Life I find it surprising as well, addiction is a massive problem, from anti d's to sedatives, pain killers and illegal substances, I think it would be helpful for a lot of people.

Just a general 'addiction' area under health would be good. I think it would be really helpful.

I think it's a great idea for a topic. Opening posts about these things often start with "I'm not sure where to put this", and there are so many people on here with experience and wonderful advice.

Yes, I've just posted in mental health on the subject and started it ... i dont know where to put this... addiction is nothing to be embarrassed about...not sure why mn doesn't cater explicitly for it yet.

It would be great if you wanted to start one on addiction.
