Why do my hidden threads keep reappearing?

I press the little button to make them go but they keep coming back. Not all of them but enough of them for me to notice.

Just make them go awaaaaaaay and stay there, please.

If it makes any difference, I'm on an iPad but using the full site via Safari as I don't like the mobile site.

are you logging out? that would make them visible again if you were just looking at active conversations, say

No, I'm not.

I hide (loads); look at a new thread or revisit one; and then when I go back to Active Conversations some of them seem to pop up again.

Quite prepared to accept it's user error but can't see where at the mo.

Are you pressing the back button? Sometimes that can temporarily undo changes you make as it does not refresh the page, not sure if the same applies to mumsnet though as I've not seen it happen myself.

No, I have done that in the past and it does still show them but I'd expect that. Bound to be something iPaddy as I don't think I get it when I use the PC.
