Why won't MN work properly?

MN works absolutely fine for me on our sparkly new iPad bought for educational purposes but I use it more

But it is tediously awfully slow on laptop - and it used to be absolutely fine.
All other websites work fine on both.

Tis very annoying!

And while I'm at it why do weird things keep getting highlighted blue - days of the week, clock times - not just the advert words (which is annoying enough)

Oh dear. We'll see if there's anything we can kick to make it run quicker.

If words are being highlighted, you have a virus as MNHQ stopped allowing that.

This could also be why it is slow for you.

But they look just the same as the MN advert words and it happens on both gadgets!

But MN doesn't do advert words. They did for a bit but there was an outcry and they stopped.

So if you're getting linked words on the talk boards, you have a virus.

The time and date thing could be trying to add to your calendar?

Well tis true the time/date thing is I think only on the pad.

Techy friend has removed the numerous viruses on my laptop

But MN is still horrendously slow - and other websites arent
