New poster with very similar NN to mine

I have just seen a new-ish poster (posts started in September) with a very similar NN to mine (teddies plural rather than teddy singular.)

Should I politely PM them asking if they would consider nc as I was here first? What's the Mnetiquette in this situation?

Yes, you just PM them...

Unless they're witty and beautiful. Then you just ignore and take credit where possible.

Yes, a PM sounds like a good idea.

As long as it's nice and welcoming and not "Gerroff my nickname, your 'orrible newb!" or summat.

If there's any problem, though - or the other poster really doesn't want to change (or doesn't know how), do drop us a line and we'll try to help you both sort it out.

Polite pn sent. Thanks Helen
