New poster with very similar NN to mine

I have just seen a new-ish poster (posts started in September) with a very similar NN to mine (teddies plural rather than teddy singular.)

Should I politely PM them asking if they would consider nc as I was here first? What's the Mnetiquette in this situation?

Yes, you just PM them...

Unless they're witty and beautiful. Then you just ignore and take credit where possible.

As long as it's nice and welcoming and not "Gerroff my nickname, your 'orrible newb!" or summat.
