I can't add pictures to my mumsnet profile on my IPad.

Nope, not stoopid at all. It's an Apple thing.
You can't upload pics to the web via the iPhone or iPad, you can see more info here

Does that help seeker? I tend to email the image to myself and then upload it from my laptop - tedious, but unfortunately, there isn't anything that we can do about it.

I use Picasa web albums - you can get an app for it which will add the photo to your online album and then copy the link to it so you can post it on a thread

Just to let you know, with the latest iOS6 update, you can now upload photos to your profile, using an iPad/iPhone - not on the mobile app though. I'm currently having issues with loading more than one photo though, as when I do, it replaces the first one with the second one I uploaded. Anyone else find this?
