My deleted thread - all that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing

I know it's gone and I totally understand why - I did try and stave off on-thread speculation from the start and stated that there could be no names but now I'm left with no way of dealing with this. If I'd not been in fucking pointless meetings all fucking morning at work I might have been able to steer posts away from sharing info publicly but I couldn't get to it in time. I was trying to be so so careful to make it absolutely clear that the only evidence I had was my own suspicions and what people had told me (in evidential terms - mere hearsay) and not to link my concerns with anything people were speculating it was linked to.

Was there no way that specific posts could have been deleted where posters had not grasped the need to be suitably circumspect? Does this mean there can not realistically be any thread about my concerns? What do I do? I will PM people who's advice I wanted to respond to and in the meantime if anyone finds this thread who posted thank you for sharing your thoughts. Also a huge thank you to the posters who managed to save the thread and send it to me so at least I can read through properly. MNHQ please contact me as you said you would. I know in a less frustrated/angry frame of mind I support defamation laws but at the moment I am extremely fucked off with them. At the moment they feel like another way of silencing people. Who was it who said all that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing? If you can see the PMs to me on the system you will know that it's not just me and it's not just the unnamed female.

Words on a screen to quote SM and all that - but that was literally all I had. Am surprised at how upset I am.

If anyone from the deleted thread posts on here please, please do not be giving out details on thread.

nosleepworrying, we sent you an email before we deleted your thread - as we said we would.

Have you not received it? Is the email address you registered to Mumsnet with not an active one?

They hadn't, picnicbasketcase, but the person in question was still clearly identifiable.
