When I click on, say, Style and Beauty, no threads come up - I just get the box directing me to the category's home page. Anyone shed light on this?

If you scroll down to the bottom of the side adverts are they there?

Some times the pages don't load properly for me and it appears blank, but when I scroll down, they appear under the adverts that are on the right hand side.

Four4me · 05/09/2012 21:06

I have come onto site stuff to ask the same question. Pregnancy and Breast Feeding shows no threads for me?????

Four4me · 05/09/2012 21:10

And no sign of them if I scroll down, very strange.

RowanMumsnet · 05/09/2012 21:41

Hello

Confused Not sure what's going on here

Could you post up the URLs of the pages you're looking at (ie the ones that aren't showing any threads)?

Thanks (and sorry for the annoyance)

korvonia · 06/09/2012 10:31

Hi Rowan - thank you! Just done a quick check and Style and beauty (which I need!!!), Primary education, Breast and bottle feeding and Baby Names aren't coming up for a start. A few - like Good housekeeping - are still showing threads.

Hi korvonia. Where you are clicking? Are you clicking on the Shortcuts down at the bottom of the page or are you clicking on the Topic name in the list of Topics on the Talk home page?

korvonia · 06/09/2012 11:56

I am clicking on the Topic name on the Talk home page. (NB works fine on my phone).

OP posts:
HelenMumsnet · 06/09/2012 12:51

OK. Well that's working fine for us

What browser are you using?

Four4me · 06/09/2012 13:15

Hi, mine just seems to be the pregnancy and bf topics, not that I have been through them all. What is a ULR?? And they work fine on my phone too. Am on my iPad, not an app though just on the website through google (I am the most un-techy person going)!

Apologies for butting in on your thread korvonia seems silly to do a separate one now.

HelenMumsnet · 06/09/2012 13:29

Sorry to hear you're having the same problem, Four4me.

We're having trouble replicating it here, though.

Are you on an iPad, too, korvonia?

korvonia · 06/09/2012 13:43

Sorry - keep having to work!

I am on a Mac - OSX - accessing the net via Safari. It has always been fine before but this started happening a few weeks ago.

four4me glad it is not just me!

Four4me · 06/09/2012 14:33

Yep it started a week or so ago with the pregnancy topic then 'spread' to breast feeding! Seen as dh says 'no more babies' I think mn is taking his side Wink

If a thread comes up in 'most active' from those topics and I click on that then I can view that one thread! If that helps! Confused

korvonia · 06/09/2012 18:07

Yes, I can access anything in the 'active' list too.

HelenMumsnet · 06/09/2012 18:16

Ok, have talked to Tech.

Sometimes this can happen when a thread title is so long/wide, it makes the whole topic list drop down below the adverts. If you scroll right down, can you see the threads then?

If it's not, do you see the grid with no threads in? Or just no grid at all?

korvonia · 06/09/2012 18:40

I see a completely blank space where the threads should be. FWIW I don't think it is about the thread title being long because it has been happening continuously for several weeks.

OP posts:
korvonia · 06/09/2012 18:41

... and I have tried clicking on 'next' but all the subsequent pages are blank too.

OP posts:
HelenMumsnet · 06/09/2012 19:12

OK, please could you go here while you're logged in and press Send Report. That will give Tech an idea of your set up for viewing MN and might help us help you out further.

Sorry to be of no immediate help here.

korvonia · 06/09/2012 19:33

Have done!

OP posts:
Four4me · 07/09/2012 07:50

I have done it too!!

korvonia · 07/09/2012 17:29

BTW, the problem disappears if I go into customise and click out of Mumsnet New. But would really like to view topics through the Mumsnet New option if possible as it is a lot easier on the eye.
