How do I read PM's on the App?

I have worked out how to SEND PM's from the App, but not how to read them. Am I missing something obvious?

I'm assuming this is the iPhone App.

Probably worth distinguishing because some day there will be an App for Android, won't there MNHQ ?

So far my only way of seeing pms is to wait for the email notification and click the link and view/reply in safari. You only have to log in the one time (for safari) ime.

This is true Couthy.
The app doesn't have a PM function. However, you can access your MN inbox via the mumsnet mobile site on your phones browser.

If that makes no sense to you, then please say and we can talk you through it.

I always wondered why we cant view PM's or update our profiles.

Ooh, And is there a way to refresh a thread without coming out of it and going back in again? or am I just being dumb?

Can't afford to use the browser though! It is just irritating that I am not replying to PM's often, and people think I am ignoring them!

Why is it that you can send PM's from the iPhone App, but not read them? Couldn't it be added to the 'more' section at the bottom where settings hides?

And NetworkGuy - I send you to help with your long wait for the other App.

I can seemingly only set up one email account on my iPhone. I used the one that isn't the one I get my notifications sent to. Because it was the one my ITunes account was registered to!

Now I can't work out how to set up an extra email account on the iPhone, so can't even access the email account that I get my notifications on from the phone.

I will give it a go, trying to be quick on the mobile site, but will probably end up looking !

Oh FFS! I have forgotten my password, keeping yourself permanently logged in for 3 years does have its pitfalls!

And of course, getting a password reminder will mean being arsed to switch on the laptop. Which means crawling downstairs, finding the charger, and crawling back upstairs again.

I used the same password for about 5/6 years, but changed when idiot ex started stalking me on here, and had a key logger on my lappy.

bloody case sensitive passwords. Bloody daft MN'er not remembering their password without 5 gazillion tries.

I have 2 email accounts on mine.

Done it now, read and replied to all emails.

PM's I mean FFS. I still haven't been able to set up my other email account on here. I have got and answered my PM's on the mobile site.

go to settings, mail, add account

I did that, but it didn't work!

What happens when you do it? they all go under the same mail icon, so i you click on the mail thingie and it takes you to the inbox, the arrow thing on top left (mine says gamil, push that and should take you to a list of email accounts you have registered on the phone (can you tell I'm not technical)

Yes, and I've managed to set up my other email on my phone too, thanks to the advice about settings. I now get notifications about my PM's.

That's good. I only know because I spent weeks without any emails on my phone because I couldn't do it
