Why can mnhq not delete the previous ramblings and recycle the name?

With maybe a few years without posting caveat.

It's partly that we don't really like deleting posters' entire posting histories; the MN archive is a jolly useful thing after all, and when entire posting histories are deleted it can render some threads nonsensical.

It's also quite a big and time-consuming tech job to change the name above all the posts by the 'old' owner of the nickname.
