My iPhone app always dies if a thread I'm on goes pouf

It's really annoying, is there any way round this? Would it not be possible to delete all posts but leave one from someone at MNHQ explaining why it's gone? I think this would be a good idea anyway, then you wouldn't get the multitude of 'where did that thread go' threads too.

That will teach you for being on contentious threads
