can you hide entire boards?

if so, and you can hide an entire board, how do you do it please?

You can stop them from appearing on things like Active Conversations, in the Customise section - I've hidden loads of them, as DS is too old for me to feel I'd add much to discussions of weaning or potty training!

Yes, you need to go into my mumsnet and move them from the left box to the right iirc.

I have loads hidden, it makes reading active convos much easier

oh dear.....do we have a "thicky" emoticon? ive tried - clear as mud im afraid....i would like to hide a couple of boards which i have absolutely no interest in and serve mainly to give me high blood pressure.....im not very techie.

Not thick at all - the way to do it isn't that obvious. Click on the "Customise" link which is near the top of any thread, then scroll right down to the bottom of the page, there's a scetion called "Ignore topics in Active Conversations" - in the text there is another link which just says "go here" - click on that.

Then you should see two lists of topics, one headed "Included" and the other "Excluded". Click on any you don't want to see, and then hit the button to move them to Excluded. You can use the Shift and Ctrl buttons to get more than one at a time, if there are a lot you want to hide.
