Scorecard research?

Was just browsing mumsnet when a popup came up from Scorecard research asking me to fill in a survey.

Seemed odd since you don't normally have pop-ups or do surveys that way.

I am firefox btw.

I had a pop up yesterday on here as well.

I'm on Google chrome.

I got this earlier too (Google Chrome).

Zombie just got this as well - using Firefox.

I just got this now on a chat thread - also using Chrome.

hmm that sounds weird - let me see what I can find out...

looks like something you have accidentally opted into, looks like you may be able to opt out here...

Looks like something you can pick up on facebook...

strange, yes my virus check is fine and up to date. From the link looks like it tracks your web activity after you view pictures on facebook! How the hell are they allowed to do that without asking you?

I had this pop up the other day and I've just had it pop up again a minute ago.

I don't get any pop ups at all on any other site and I frequent some dodgy ones except MN and as I say it's only happened twice.

I'm on Google Chrome and all my virus and spyware scans are 100% up to date.

Despite my strenuous denials, it turns out this was us after all . Sorry. It was unintentional!

It's going to be disabled soon so hopefully you won't be seeing it for much longer.

Thank you, Rowan. Zombie kept deleting the Scorecard cookies but they kept coming back.

Ahh that's good to know then.

I reluctantly went down the 'opt out' path...although I didn't really want to click it at all but it seems to be gone now anyway.
