Why is Ruislip considered to be local to Newcastle?

Literacy classes are advertised in a place several hundred miles away from Newcastle.

I tried to post a local event once and it didn't come up on the main page so I haven't bothered again. Is it just me who thinks the local listings are a bit naff?
Still, I hope everyone in Ruislip enjoys their literacy class.

Hi tallwiv,

Please do report it to us and we will move/zap it.

Local is getting a bit of TLC from behind the scenes at the moment so any feedback is always welcomed.

Done. Glad to hear about the TLC Smile

If you're fiddling with local, could you please sort out the index in Topics A-Z, where you have to scroll past gazillions of 'Local' entries to get to any topics starting with M or later. Couldn't you just have one Local link which goes to another page with the list?
