OK. Two things:

The first, IAGTBF, problem sounds like the phone failed to load the stylesheet that tells it how to lay out the page, colours etc. Restarting the browser or refreshing the page should help.

Sued, your thing sounds different. Login should work on the phone it if works on the site with the same name and password. Could your phone be "helpfully" auto-completing or auto-correcting one of them to the wrong thing maybe? I've seen that happen before.
