Haha / I was just coming on here to say why???'!!!!! Grin

FuckerSnailInYourHedgerow · 04/07/2012 22:55

Will you join my campaign Fred? I have actually hidden all my fb friends who have mentioned it.

Dropdeadfred · 04/07/2012 22:59

I will join!!!! I have not read a single word, nor do I want to. I'm slightly queasy about how many mums in the playground are swapping the books around... Some copies look decidedly 'used' Hmm

FuckerSnailInYourHedgerow · 04/07/2012 23:21

Christ on a bike I hadn't thought of that!
Can you just imagine the amount of copies that will be clogging up charity shops for years to come. Ugh. We should create a sculpture of them and BURN it.

Bumping because we are going to need others to join our campaign:)

A friend had joined the library list to borrow a copy, she was 193rd in line Shock I would definitely not touch that book without a pair of gloves Grin

FuckerSnailInYourHedgerow · 05/07/2012 11:22

I'd say there would't be much book left after 193 goes at it.
I'm off to the shops to get some bleach for my brain, anyone else need some?

Hello Snail
We see your point but think it's unlikely we will have a 50 shades topic. Sorry.

Wonder if there were as many threads on MN about the Da Vinci Code.
Same level of hype but admittedly less lip-biting Grin

OliviaSvelteMumsnet · 05/07/2012 11:23

and yes please for brain bleach.Grin
And am going to link again to this thread which is hilarious

BreeVanDerTramp · 05/07/2012 11:25

193rd Shock

My usually lovely and rational MIL was getting all flustered telling me about it last night, I have no interest, even if it was a literacy masterpiece I would avoid as I hate being a sheep Grin

FuckerSnailInYourHedgerow · 05/07/2012 11:32

Oh Olivia:( Thank yoy for being so understanding about my plight though:)

Bree, my MIL keeps posting about it on fb:)
It's funny watching DH squirm when he reads her posts.

Can we have a "whining about other threads" topic please?

Dropdeadfred · 05/07/2012 11:35

I hate the idea of my friends all getting 'excited' whilst flicking through this paperback then passing it on to their friends.. Who then agree how 'excited' they got too .... Bleeuurgh

FuckerSnailInYourHedgerow · 05/07/2012 12:44

Sorry soup, did I offend you? I don't intend to come across as whiny. Perhaps I should have put LIGHT HEARTED in big letters in the thread title.

OP posts:
Viviennemary · 05/07/2012 12:55

I was totally determined not to buy it. But gave in and told DH to get it for me from Tesco's earlier in the week. It was the last one apparently! Haven't read it yet. I was telling a friend I'd got it. And she looked surprised and told me I wouldn't like it. Oh well have to see.

SoupDragon · 05/07/2012 12:55

Perhaps you should get a sense of humour.

Viviennemary · 05/07/2012 13:00

I'm a sheep. They've not got a sense of humour. Grin

FuckerSnailInYourHedgerow · 05/07/2012 22:10

Vivienne- I know what you mean, my sister offered me her copy (after assuring me that she didn't 'enjoy' reading it) and I was very tempted to take it. I resisted though, out of sheer stuborness!

Soup - was your first post intended to be funny? I didn't think it came across like that.
