Has anyone experienced this? Whenever I add www.mumsnet.com to my browser it comes up with a page syaing it is a test home page stored under something to do with roots ( can't remember the exact wording). It is only MN that has this problem otherwise I'd suspect a virus.

I only managed to get in by googling MN and clicking on talk pages!! CAn't access it direct any more.
Any one else experiencing this or has any suggestions?

Try clearing your internet browser's cache. What browser do you use? Zombie will try to find instructions for you if you don't know how to do it.

Zombie thank you but that is too technical!! How do I go about trying to cleaer that?

OK. Smile

The cache is where your internet browser (Internt Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, etc.) stores copies of pages from sites that you have accessed so that they load more quickly next time you go there. Sometimes a rogue page gets stored and sort of stuck in the cache so that every time you try to access the site by a direct link the browser just re-loads the dodgy page.

Do you use Internet Explorer? Firefox? Chrome? Or something else?

Hi lisalisa, that can happen if you chance to request a page just as one of our server processes is starting up but another one that it depends on isn't quite ready. We should make it a bit more user-friendly, like "try again in a moment" or similar. It's nothing wrong on your computer.
