Moon phase information

Hi there,

I'd like to feature the moon phase information on my own personal website - in the words of Mumsnet, it may be 'lentil weaving', but it is useful! It's a full moon tonight and people do seem bonkers.
"Lunatic" derives from lunaticus meaning "of the moon" or "moonstruck".

Does anyone know where the moon icon and info comes from and if it's easy to implement?

Thanks!

Hi AppleOrchid, We got the data from NASA. It's all explained on this page. It is possible to do the maths yourself as well if you are so inclined.

You need to be able to put together a script to tell you which is the current phase and then choose the relevant image that shows that phase.

If that's not something you want to attempt, there might be some service somewhere that lets you embed the "current moon" as a simple image tag. If there is though I'm not aware of it.

Thanks very much, Tech. Alas I am not in the least like an astronaut and putting such a script together would be beyond me I think. I'll definitely look at the link you suggest though
