following on from my first ever thread deletion yesterday, could someone let me know whether it's true that a thread about a thread will get deleted? Seems odd to me. Still not quite sure why my thread got deleted Confused

Yes threads about threads do get deleted

RebeccaMumsnet · 29/06/2012 12:37

Hi FunnysInLaJardin

Yes, threads about threads will be removed.
If it is a new thread to mock/talk about/ re-hash a deleted or current thread and it is reported to us, then we will remove it.

There is more info here

Is there something wrong with your advanced search Jardin?
Tell us what happens and we can take a look.

when I do advanced search and try to link into a thread it comes up with an error message saying no such webpage. This has happened on my pc and my mac. Thanks

Nothing to do with deleted threads at all, but the same is happening for me with Advanced Search, it comes up with this error message

Not Found
The requested URL /$search.asLocation() was not found on this server.

OliviaLMumsnet · 29/06/2012 19:41

Sorry about advanced search. We will see what's occuring.
Hope you understand the guidelines now Op, do drop us a line if there's anything that's not clear. Smile

Hi, Advanced search should be working properly now. Sorry about that.

FunnysInLaJardin · 29/06/2012 21:37
