PMs from a researcher.

I've been sent a PM from a BBC researcher. I'm happy to ignore it, but it got me thinking whether that was "allowed" or not? I guess anyone can pm anyone else but I thought perhaps researchers looking for commercial gain ought not to?

More interestingly.. does the BBC rely on mumsnet for its research...?

i have had two pm's lately, which i reproted - one from a bbc researcher about the guardian bread line and one from sunday time about the natwest. Hmm

OlaRapaceFru · 27/06/2012 09:48

I 'third' what Joyful and slarty say - report it.
I think MNHQ takes a dim view of researchers PMing MNers.

BeatriceBean · 27/06/2012 09:52

Ah didn't know I could report a pm - will go see!

I reported too - just made me a bit uncomfortable. No reply from MNHQ though........

HelenMumsnet · 28/06/2012 14:05

Hello. Thanks to all who reported this. We've dropped the researcher a line to explain that we don't really allow this as we know folks don't like being approached this way.
