Can we have a private message function in the app please?

Its annoying to have to keep logging into the site on safari to see if I have a PM when I use the app for everything else on my phone.
Pretty please with the next update can you include access to the inbox? And preferably something which alerts one to the fact that there is a new message, but failing that just access to check would be great

I've been lucky enough to test the new iPhone app and PM's are on it - hurrah! Not sure when it's released though.
