Bookmarking on phone?

Am I just being dim? I can't seem to bookmark my place when I am reading a thread on my phone. If it's a long thread and I want to go back to it later, it's getting quite annoying to have to trawl through pages and pages to find where I was.

Didn't realise you could bookmark and specific place on a thread when not on phone...

It makes MN'ing soooo much quicker. Go click on My Mumsnet at the top of the page, and go into your settings bit. You can also make all your posts in one colour, and those from the OP on the thread another colour, so you can find the OP's posts on a thread easier, and your own!

And for some reason now, my phone wont connect to MN at all, just keeps telling me it's 'loading'. When everything else is connecting. What's going oooooon, I've had to get the laptop out!!

I've got all the colours...shall have to investigate bookmarking.

MNHQ, is there any way we can get the ability to bookmark threads on the phone? It's getting impossible to read threads that are longer than about 80 messages, because it takes too long to find where you are.

Either I'm being dim, or there isn't that facility on the mobile app, and it's interfering with my ability to MN now!!

Any chance of Tech taking a look?

I don't use the app but the normal mobile site allows bookmarking

The most I can find is how to flip a thread, which can make it a bit easier, but not enough on a really long thread.

Bookmarking on the app would be fab! I avoid all long threads at the mo cos its just not worth the hassle!

The app. was given an older iphone by a friend and am having fun with it as I could never afford something like that for myself.

You'd have to ask the developers that! It may not even be possible on an app. I have no idea.

I'm going to keep bumping this till MNHQ and/or Tech tell me WHY I can't bookmark on the App.

It's practically impossible to read long threads without it, I give up the will to live if I have to scroll through goodness knows how many pages before I find where I had last read to or commented.

Studiously ignores the fact that she managed OK before MN HAD that facility, and has just got lazy.

Don't want to report, I may get kicked off MN for being impatient moaned about in MNHQ!

I will gladly offer and to anyone at MNHQ who will talk to me about it though. Or and if preferred!
