Any chance of a MN 'returning to work' Jobfair?

Just wondering...

We know that there are lots of lovely, rather well-educated Mnetters here Wink, and that there are also many of us who are the primary carers for their children.

Many of us have taken career breaks to have children and have subsequently either gone back to part-time or freelance work or have become SAHP.

I'm currently freelancing from home, and want to go back to full time work soon. But not necessarily to the same type of work I was doing before (full time academia).

Surely there are loads of other Mnetters in the same boat, who would welcome a chance to talk to recruiters who are family-friendly and who wouldn't be aghast at the thought of flexibile working hours or of some retraining for parents who are returning to full time work after a break?

What do you think?

I like this idea. I am looking for a career change Grin

I'm doing the same freelance as in my particular job I would struggle to get one flexibly.

Sounds good to me.

am happily employed but this is a great idea

I think it is a good idea. I gave up work 7 years ago when DS2 was born. DS3 starts school in September and I feel I can go back to work. But have no idea where I can go and who would want me (other than supermarkets!)
