cookie thingy won't go away

I keep clicking yes to accept but nothing happens.

Just noticed. Bloody annoying isn't it?

the click thing isn't a proper linky

mouse over advanced search = cursor becomes hand
mouse over accept cookies = cursor stays as cursor

So glad it's not just me. Thought I'd broken the laptop again

I clicked on it earlier today - hours ago - and it went away. And now it's back - why?

I clicked first thing and it vanished; but later reappeared and won't now go away. I'm using iPad and safari if that helps.
