I love MN. I have made many new friends since I actively joined, but I have a criticism. Is there anyway the Tech Gods can adopt some of Facebook's good bits. For example a like button, or even a dislike button for some AIBU threads!! It would make things easier to MN on the go, as the iPhone App is great for that. But sometimes you just don't have the time to comment and you just want the OP that you're listening. Thank you.

The idea of a like button has actually been suggested a fair few times before (see here, for example).

And, after some heated discussion, it became clear that a large number of Mumsnetters would rather not have one.

Ye Gods ('scuse the pun), SallyB. Please don't ever use that expression again, or Tech will get think he's going to get a nice, warm, dry, draught-free office stocked with gin and biscuits (as opposed to his manky old shed).
