Problems using MN yesterday and today?

Is anyone else having problems opening MN pages at the moment? Yesterday and today I've been struggling to get MN pages opened, I constantly have to open/close/refresh to view pages. And it's only with MN, no other sites that I've tried.

MNHQ - is this a server issue? Is it me or is it you?!

Have you noticed what ads are running on those pages?

We will flag to Tech and see what's going on.

It's not specific pages and it seems to go in waves - from needing to try a page four or five times for anything to open, to it opening normally. I'm using safari on an ipad and have checked our connection. It's always been fine beforee now.

There is an ipad version, isn't there? Might be the day to try it out and see if it makes a difference.

Hi Rowan, I'm using Safari on an ipad 3

And there's nothing big running in the background either, I'm obsessed with always checking that after finding the ipad 1 heavy on battery life

It only happens with MN, that's what's so odd.

Sometimes I get the old ' safari couldn't open the page because the server stopped responding' message.

Sorry wellies.

We will get Tech to have a look and see if they have any clever suggestions.

For some reason yesterday and today I can't access the mobile version of the site NLT the standard

Tech - is something different or fixed? Today, for the first time since the problems started, I can move normally between MN pages! (Hope this post doesn't jinx it!!)

It's doing my head in.

It keeps going offline for a 'few minutes' but it's way longer than that.

I know it's always done that but nowhere near as often as the last couple of days.

Agree Worra - it has been going done a signifcantly larger amount and for longer recently.

The loading of pages has been a nightmare, several flash based apps have caused my browser to crash (chrome and firefox) and there is a habbit of late night going offline.

It's at times like this, I wish I had a life

We've kicked the server a bit introduced some fixes that will hopefully make things better today

Ermmmm HQ - it keeps breaking. What ever you did to the server didn't completely fix it. is it that time of the year when tech mutters about pay rise, you ignore him and then it all goes poof?
