Just been distracted for the umpteenth time by a rash of threads going off-topic due to newbies not being able to work out how to start a new thread, please fix it.

Nope. Hadn't noticed the issue.

And if they start a new thread, will they be accused of starting a thread about a thread, if they can put their post in an existing thread?

I have been droning on for months about the way new threads are started. I am sure there are thousands of misplaced aibu threads because people don't know how to start a new thread in a different topic.

I even started a thread about it once ... hang on will try to find.
