Smiley for [chocolate] please?

So often I want to send something nice to a poster, but sometimes Brew, Wine and Flowers just aren't the right thing - could someone add something for Chocolate - I'm thinking maybe a brown rectangle with a bright yellow CHOC written on it? You could use a purple and white rectangle but it might be seen as endorsing a certain brand - although most supermarkets do use this packaging to indicate milk chocolate. What do you think HQ?

good idea - I like it!
But maybe thats because I am a chocolate fiend and I don't like wine or flowers! Grin

PimpMyTunnel · 13/04/2012 12:58

This site does need a new range of emotions. Not naming any other site or anything but I used to have quite a lot of fun with their smileys:)

JustHecate · 13/04/2012 13:10

NO!

Just - no.

I have been asking for [boggle] for bloody YEARS

They've given you the bear, the biscuit, flowers, tea AND wine and I'm still waiting for [boggle]

well. No more. I forbid it.

No additions to the smileys until I get my [boggle]

and if you try it (MNHQ I am talking to YOU) I shall storm MN Towers and piss in your biscuit barrel.

fussbucket · 13/04/2012 13:15

Hiya Pimp. Still having fun here I see! Never been able to stomach staying on The Other Site long enough to investigate due to the overwhelming fluffiness, but do they have something that means chocolate?

I mean, sometimes you want to be sort of celebratory, but the poster is pregnant, or the thread has to do with alcoholism, so Wine would be just plain offensive, I always feel Brew is for shock, and Thanks is just not comforting enough although always appreciated. There have been times when I've wanted to offer Biscuit, not meaning 'no comment' or 'calm down dear', but genuinely in the way I offer chocolate biscuits to friends when we're sharing good times.

Ooh what's Bear Hecate? I'll help you storm the Towers and get into the server to put [boggle] in if you help with Chocolate. What would [boggle] look like anyway?

boggle as in the only possible reply to "AIBU to have felt uncomfortable when my new boyfriend told me that he likes to make love to hollowed out pineapples while I canter round the bedroom and whinny like a horse"

There are times when only a [boggle] will do.

JustHecate · 13/04/2012 13:20

[boggle] would be Shock with massive boggly googly eyes

JustHecate · 13/04/2012 13:20

or something.

I'm flexible Grin

PimpMyTunnel · 13/04/2012 13:21

Hi fussbucket yes im still here. I'm not sure if they have chocolate but they probably do as they have hundreds. The one I would like that they have is the face with the question marks coming out of it. Maybe a person being sick too like their 'yuk' smiley.

fussbucket · 13/04/2012 13:21

Where's this undamaged Pudsey icon!!! it's not in the Smileys list under this box wot I am typing in.

Maybe Pimp's face would do for your [boggle] Hecate?
The cantering horse thing has just made snort Brew.

PimpMyTunnel · 13/04/2012 13:24

And can I point out the other site has a boggle smiley too! You need a boggle smiley in order to say WHAT THE FUCK without having to actually say it

JustHecate · 13/04/2012 13:25

?? are good but no, it has to be a jaw dropping eyes popping picture.

It is needed on here far more than a bear or a biscuit, let's be honest Grin

fussbucket · 13/04/2012 13:26

Have to go out and earn money to buy Chocolate, hopefully someone up the Towers will have noticed this conversation when I get back in a couple of hours and given us lots of lovely new toys to play with.

OP posts:
PimpMyTunnel · 13/04/2012 13:27

I know.. who actually uses the bear? Grin

SoupDragon · 13/04/2012 13:29

I don't think MN needs any more emoticons. Use words and stop pandering to the illiterate.

JustHecate · 13/04/2012 13:30

You can have both. I don't think I am illiterate. I think I am articulate - indeed creative with language.

I. Still. Want. Boggle.

So there.

SoupDragon · 13/04/2012 13:31

I find that [boggle] works just as well.

[glower]

JustHecate · 13/04/2012 13:33

[moons]

Yes. There is a great deal of fun to be had in creating your own by bracketing whatever you feel like, I'll admit.

The above is in no way to be taken as my backing down on the issue of the [boggle]

HelenMumsnet · 13/04/2012 13:42

Hello. Much as we love all these, we're having a bit of a new-smileys moratorium at the moment or Tech will collapse with stress

Do please feel free to [boggle] or [glower] as much as you like, though...
