How do I promote my business?

I have been on Mumsnet for a while now, mainly as a lurker, but it seems that there is an opportunity for my business to be promoted.

I have been very careful not to use the message boards but I do feel that they would be far more beneficial than the advertising banners down the side which I always ignore.

Could you please advise on the protocol.
