why was my thread deleted?

I started a thread in Chat yesterday with a link to a petition. I have come back to it today and it has been deleted? Can you tell me why please! I have linked the petition on another thread but it is an old thread so dont think it is getting the max number of views.

Hi bumpsnowjustplump. Afraid it's against our Talk Guidelines to start a thread to promote an epetition.

We're sure your one is very worthy but we do get a lot of the more annoying "Please sign this to save rabbits from being made radioactive by freak lightning strikes" type of epetition thread. So we no have a no epetitons-threads blanket rule.

surely rabbits would be incinerated by freak lightening strikes

not that I'm in favour of either option, where's the petition?

Foosa it wasnt about Rabbits sorry lol. It was regarding trying to stop protesters outside abortion clinics from harrassing women going in or coming out.
