Disappearing threads and reasons why

Not sure where to post this. Can anyone tell me why a thread is pulled? I was following a (deeply concerning) thread on Relationships and now all trace has disappeared. I understand threads do get pulled but wonder what the general reasons might be. TIA.

Don't know with that thread, but there can be lots of reasons. The OP can request it to be pulled for various reasons such as regretting revealing potentially identifying information, posters being abusive, etc

Also can be pulled because someone else has alleged that the OP has made up the post. MN HQ investigate and if they agree, delete it.

OK, thanks for the info. No, Second, I had not posted. There seemed to be hundreds all saying the same thing and so I hesitated to add to them. Wish I had shown my support now. Anyway, thanks again.

Hi OP, we are going to move this thread over to Site Stuff. You're always welcome to email us at [email protected] with any questions or concerns.

There can be several reasons why a thread is deleted, such as (in some circumstances) at the OP's request, or if it contains lots of personal attacks, or if it had descended into a bunfight.

We hope that helps, please do mail us with any questions.
