Tell us what you would like to see on Mumsnet Co-Buying

Mumsnet Co-Buying has launched this week. It works as follows: say lots of Mumsnetters want the same product - could be chocolate or cosmetics, could be gadgets or sports gear - then with Mumsnet Co-Buying the more of you who buy it, the cheaper the price becomes. In partnership with BuyaPowa, we'll feature different products each week. There will be a limited number of each product and each offer will last for a limited amount of time. For more information click here.
So we'd like to know what you'd like to see featured on Mumsnet Co-Buying.
Tell us here and we'll do our best to get the products you want.

Suggestions for items:

Ecloths
Method cleaning products

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 29/02/2012 12:51

If you click on the co buy details it tells you this one is p&p free via royal mail. You can choose to not have your details appear on leaderboard.

DottyDot · 29/02/2012 12:56

Thanks Katie - I kind of inadvertently ended up buying the chocolate obviously I would have bought it anyway as I clicked on 'sign up' or something, filled in my details and was then told I'd bought it - I thought I was just signing up to the website, not the actual deal! So it was slightly unclear - but then this explanation probably is and I'm very glad we'll get the chocolate for £3 Grin

It's put me off clicking just for info though on any other deals, in case I find myself signed up for something not calorie related else...

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 29/02/2012 13:07

Katie, i think this was asked upthread but can you sticky this (and future deals) to suck in lots of mners so we achieve lowest price

QED · 29/02/2012 13:48

Saw about this on fb and searched here to find out what it was, and hearing that it will be £3 whatever is tempting me to do it :) Currently 39 people have signed up - shall I be the 40th?

KatieBMumsnet · 29/02/2012 13:56

Thanks for all of your comments so far - this is a trial to see how well it goes so it's really useful to have your feedback so we can make it better

Maryz - it is free p&p and you can hide your name from the leaderboard. Sorry that it's UK only - again we'll work on making that more prominent

DottyDot - sorry you found it unclear, we'll look at that. However you do have to put your payment card details in before it's actually bought - so please don't be worried about clicking just for info

ItsAllGoingToBeFine - I'll get it stickied now

I would like a larger house and a little light plastic surgery, please.

QED · 29/02/2012 13:59

If you do paypal (am still thinking about this) does it take the full amount straight away (ie at the moment it says £5) or does it wait until the end. I started doing it and got to the paypal part but it said £5 and looked like I was about to make a paypal payment for that much.

TisPityShesAWhore · 29/02/2012 14:00

Diamonds

and puppies.

I can't think of anything else I want.

Ooo I'll join in for the loft conversion. That's two of us! Only 98 to go. Come on MNers.

KatieBMumsnet · 29/02/2012 14:11

QED - We asked the people at Buyapowa and they say:

"We do not take any money from your bank or PayPal account until the co-buy has closed. When you join a co-buy, your bank or PayPal will authorise your credit or debit card for the current price. This amount is ring-fenced (reserved) until the end of the co-buy, at which point, your account will be settled for the closing price."

Mixed Chicks hair products (I swear they'll bankrupt me, one day)

QED · 29/02/2012 14:23

Thank you - might go ahead and do it then :)

FruitShootsAndHeaves · 29/02/2012 14:45

Me too for the loft conversion and I'll need a garden shed too please to store all the junk antiques from the loft.

I'm to ugly to bother with make up / beauty products and I'm trying to stay off the chocolate so some necessities (not bear ones Grin) that I need but don't necessarily like using!

like mops
and vacuums
and irons
and cat piss remover (sorry bad day!)

or nice stuff like books
or computer software
and Lamborghini's

Sockspence · 29/02/2012 18:06

I'm in for the chocs. For research purposes, y'know.

I'd like to see items like vair good linen or towel sets. Would also love to see items from skincare brands like Elemis and Dermalogica.

randommoment · 29/02/2012 18:18

Not a Kindle as local library doesn't intend to stock loans for it, but will for other e-readers. Maybe Ipad?
Nappies - no longer needed by me but I can remember that far back!
Lego definitely!
Won't be getting the chocolate as G and B is now part of one of the dodgy multinationals, will be sticking to Co-Op for my fairtrade goodies.
